Sammie Macjessie is a passionate human rights advocate and development leader, serving as the Executive Director of Ivy Foundation Malawi. With a strong focus on LBIQ rights, health equity, and inclusive development, Sammie also chairs Power of Pride Africa and coordinates the African Intersex Forum. They sit on the boards of Iranti and the Southern Africa Intersex Forum, working to amplify marginalized voices across the continent.

Sammie holds a BSc in Business Administration ,Marketing and Tourism & Hospitality and certifications in Project Management and Corporate Governance Their work bridges grassroots activism and institutional leadership, driving meaningful change across Malawi and the broader African region
